Not a motor plate but a unique new method of mounting a small block Chevy. This new system provides a compact front mounting that eliminates the common steering box, engine mount, and exhaust system interference problems so common in a street rod installation. The “Simplicity Engine Mounting System” relocates the engine mounts to the front of the block using a total of eight attaching bolts, four at the bottom of the block, and four at the water pump attachment holes, between the block and the pump, providing an extremely rigid mount. Optional driver’s side mounting configurations are available for a GM alternator or a GM remote fill power steering pump installation.

Additional advantages include:

Installation of a mechanical fuel pump, stock or aftermarket.
Reduction in the number of steering linkage “U” Joints.
Wider choice of exhaust system options, not just block hugger headers.
Can be combined with the ECI “Simplicity Accessory Mounting System” to mount a GM alternator and SD-508 A/C compressor using the same rigid rear of water pump attachment.

Kits come complete with hardware, mounting brackets, high density urethane bushings, aluminum lower pulley spacer, and universal chassis mounting tabs.

This new and unique Alternator and A/C Compressor mounting system requires NO cylinder head and NO intake manifold attachment points whatsoever. This is the most rigid and most compact front mounted V-belt system available. It is a free standing system which uses both front and rear water pump bolt hole attachment points to mount the accessories between the valve covers.

The rear supports are installed between the water pump and the block for an extremely rigid four point mounting. NO MORE CYLINDER HEAD DRILLING AND TAPPING OR INTAKE BOLT SHIMMING. This is a very compact and simple mount providing perfect accessory alignment.

Kits come with brackets, hardware, threaded adjusters, rod ends, and aluminum lower pulley spacer. Standard GM or aftermarket dual groove pulleys are used with standard V-belts (not supplied). Available for both short and long pump installations.

The ECI Simplicity Accessory Mounting System can also be combined with the Simplicity Engine Mounting System to provide a complete and very compact front engine and accessory mounting package..
